As a member of the Health Support Center (HSC) team, you’ll support those in its facilities who are interfacing and providing care to patients and community members to positively impact its mission of making communities healthier. This role is on a 24-bed unit staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (NAs), and monitor techs. The unit focuses on Pre & Post Cardiac Cath patients with 24-hour cardiac monitoring.
Requirements
- Current state NA I license
- Completed NA course from an accredited school
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred
- Compassionate nursing assistant with an understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs/blood sugars
- Assists patients with activities of daily living; Document and report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition
- Measure and document input/output and weights
- Assist nurse as needed
- Answer call lights
- Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge
- Provide care appropriate to the condition/age of the patient
- Distribute drinks and/or snacks
- Maintain clean and neat patient room and work environment.
- All other duties as assigned
