About The Position

UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for their Rehab unit. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 3 x 12-hour shifts. The Frazier Rehabilitation Institute is a 40-bed, CARF-accredited inpatient facility offering comprehensive, patient-centered care across a wide range of specialties, including brain injury, stroke recovery, spinal cord medicine, pediatrics, and movement disorders. It is a lead center for the NeuroRecovery Network in partnership with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, combining leading-edge therapy, innovative research, and a multidisciplinary approach to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• State Registered Nursing Assistant (SRNA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
• Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire and annually

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in an acute or long-term facility preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing patient-centered care, including support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Provide emotional support and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure patients’ needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner
• Perform more complex clinical tasks under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing personnel
