About The Position

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – Rehab position is a full-time role requiring night shifts, with a schedule of 3 x 12-hour shifts. The role is at UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute, a CARF-accredited inpatient facility with 40 beds, offering specialized patient care in areas such as brain injury, stroke recovery, spinal cord medicine, pediatrics, and movement disorders. The institute is recognized as a lead center for the NeuroRecovery Network and focuses on helping patients regain independence through advanced therapy, research, and a multidisciplinary approach.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• State Registered Nursing Assistant (SRNA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
• Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire and annually

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in an acute or long-term facility preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing patient-centered care, including support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Provide emotional support and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure patients’ needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner
• Perform more complex clinical tasks under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing personnel
