Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Neurology

As a member of the Health Support Center (HSC) team, you’ll support those that are in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier ®. More about our team: The Frye Regional Neurology team addresses a broad spectrum of neurological issues, including: Movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, tremor) Seizures and epilepsy Stroke and transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) Sleep disorders (sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome) Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other cognitive disorders Multiple sclerosis and other neuroimmunology conditions Neuromuscular disorders, nerve conduction studies, and EMG testing
Requirements
- Current state NA I license
- Completed NA course from an accredited school
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred
- Compassionate nursing assistant with an understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs/blood sugars
- Assists patients with activities of daily living; Document and report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition
- Measure and document input/output and weights
- Assist nurse as needed
- Answer call lights
- Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge
- Provide care appropriate to the condition/age of the patient
- Distribute drinks and/or snacks
- Maintain clean and neat patient room and work environment.
- All other duties as assigned
