About The Position

Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian Advanced Imaging (CNYPAI) delivers advanced outpatient Radiology and Imaging services, including MRI and PET/CT, supported by cutting-edge technology and some of the most respected experts in the field. As an MRI Technologist, you will perform a variety of MR examinations using state-of-the-art GE imaging equipment in a collaborative, high-quality outpatient environment. Your expertise will directly support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and innovative research, while helping patients receive the answers and care they need. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
  • New York State Radiology license in Radiography and maintain current New York State registration in Radiography
  • Must possess New York State certification for intravascular contrast media injection or obtain such certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer
  • Must possess current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in Radiography (R)
  • Must possess current ARRT certification and registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), or, if not currently held, must satisfy ARRT eligibility requirements and obtain ARRT certification and registration in MRI within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
  • Must maintain all required continuing education and renewal requirements for New York State and ARRT credentials
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficient in EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, Modality specific software
  • Requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience in Diagnostic Imaging
  • Previous relevant experience in MRI
  • Prior experience with GE equipment
