About The Position

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a Certified Millwright to join its P&H Milling team in Springbrook, Alberta. The role is responsible for routine preventative maintenance, servicing, repairing, and maintaining plant and facilities equipment safely and efficiently. Maintaining the safety and reliability of machinery and equipment is critical to supporting optimal production efficiency. This is a full-time permanent position on a straight day shift, paying $43.65 per hour, with a $2.00-per-hour dual-trade premium. On-call duty is approximately once per month and includes a flat $200 on-call rate.

Requirements

Journeyman or Red Seal trades certification as a Millwright.
Experience in fabricating and welding.
Ability to work in environments with dust allergens and higher temperatures, as well as outdoors in all weather conditions.
Understanding and working knowledge of quality control practices and procedures under BRCGS regulations.
Physical fitness and ability to safely lift 25 kg.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependability and ability to work an on-call schedule.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Working knowledge of CMMS.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience, ideally in flour mill operations, involving elevators, conveyors, rotary valves, compressors, blowers, fans, grinders, electric motors, gearboxes, and filtration equipment.

Responsibilities

Assemble, align, dismantle, and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and feeler gauges.
Troubleshoot hydraulic system issues.
Perform general facility maintenance.
Participate in fumigation and heat treatment, which involves working in higher temperatures.
Complete and comply with all job-related health, safety, and food safety training.
Complete fall arrest, forklift, telehandler, and scissor lift training.
