About The Position

As a Certified Medicine Aide (CMA), you will be an essential part of a close-knit nursing team, providing direct care and building meaningful connections with residents. Your daily support will significantly impact the quality of life for residents, offering comfort, companionship, and dignity during their stay. This role is specifically for Certified Medicine Aides, as only a CMA is authorized to pass medications in a nursing home environment; CMT, MT, or Certified Medical Assistants are not authorized to do so.

Requirements

• Current Maryland Certified Medicine Aide Certification
• High School Diploma, or G.E.D
• Familiarity with nursing care procedures and terminology

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide companionship, emotional comfort, and support to residents
• Communicate and document effectively with nurses, physicians, therapists, and families regarding resident care
