About The Position

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to work at Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna, Idaho. Centurion provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Idaho Department of Correction and contracts with state and local governments to serve correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff, the CMT assists nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document medication dosages and administration times. The role also includes taking vital signs, assisting with examinations and treatments, helping patients with activities of daily living, and monitoring patients to report changes in their conditions. The position offers a pay range of $18–$22 per hour based on years of experience and a $2,000 joining bonus. The schedule is three 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Wednesday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Full-time benefits are offered.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification, or ability to obtain one.
Graduation from a Medication Technician training program and CMT certification.
Active, appropriate Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Ability to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in an acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional environment.

Responsibilities

Administer medications according to written and/or oral instructions and under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff.
Document medication dosages and times of administration.
