About The Position

Join HOME HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS INC as a Certified Medication Technician and support a male client with quadriplegia. We are looking for compassionate and detail-oriented professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management in a supportive environment . This is a permanent, long-term position ideal for someone who is dependable, patient, and skilled in hands-on personal care. ⚠️ Please Note: The client is a smoker. Caregivers must be comfortable working in a smoking environment.

Requirements

Current certification as a Medication Technician in the state of Maryland.
Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting preferred.
Strong understanding of medication management and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to client-centered care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications to clients in accordance with established protocols.
Assist clients with daily living activities while promoting their independence. (Meal preparation, Light housekeeping)
Maintain accurate records of medication administration and client care.
Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, clients, and families regarding medication needs.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding medication administration.
Safe transfers (bed ↔ wheelchair, bedpan assistance)
Support a positive and caring environment for clients and their families.
Full assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
