About The Position

St. Agnes Home, a senior living community sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, is seeking a caring and dependable Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join their night shift team. Located in Kirkwood, St. Agnes Home offers a warm, family-centered environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and love, and employees are valued. The position involves providing medication administration and supportive care to residents under the direction of nursing staff, adhering to established policies and standards. The CMT is expected to act with integrity, identify non-compliance, and uphold the mission and philosophy of St. Agnes Home with a focus on individual human dignity.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, with 12th grade reading, comprehension, and math skills
Certified as a Nurse Assistant, in good standing, in this State
Certified as a Medication Technician, in good standing, in this State
Basic computer skills
Must successfully pass the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) criminal background check.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the US.
Must have valid driver’s license, personal automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record (if required to drive).

Nice To Haves

Experience as a CMT/CNA in long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

Provides medication administration to residents under the direction of the nursing staff.
Provides supportive and functional care to residents with routine daily care in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Acts with integrity and in the best interest of St. Agnes Home and identifies instances of non-compliance and takes appropriate action.
Strives to incorporate the philosophy and mission of St. Agnes Home and to incorporate the goal of quality care in a personal manner with total regard for the individual human dignity.
Maintains an open communication with the Charge Nurse with regard to all needs and problems of the CMT/CNA's assigned work area.
Demonstrates team effort in cooperating with other Departments and all co-workers.
Records weights and vital signs properly.
Charts all pertinent information on residents as delegated by the Charge Nurse.
Charts all monthly summaries as delegated by the Charge Nurse.
Receives / gives report of pertinent resident information from off-going / on-coming personnel.
