About The Position

Makes a positive contribution to the lives of residents in Memory Care by providing routine daily care in accordance with the community’s established policies and procedures. The position works under the direct supervision of the Personal Care Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or designated lead staff member on duty. Promotes hospitality and delivers a high level of customer service in keeping with Christ’s Home Mission and Core Values. Pool (PRN) positions are available for the day shift.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED diploma, or active registry status on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
• If not actively registered as a Pennsylvania CNA, must be able to complete and pass the Department of Human Services Direct Care Staff Person Training Course.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must successfully complete the BHSL Medications Administration course and demonstrate proficiency in administration responsibilities.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform all essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to stand for up to 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.
• Able to push, pull, tug, twist, bend, stoop, and sit on a regular basis.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in a personal care or long-term care facility is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily care to Memory Care residents in accordance with community policies and procedures.
• Promote hospitality and provide a high level of customer service consistent with Christ’s Home Mission and Core Values.
• Administer medications after completing the required course and demonstrating proficiency in medication-administration responsibilities.
