About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join their team at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution. The CMT works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff. The role involves administering medications, documenting dosages and times, taking vital signs, assisting with examinations and treatments, and helping patients with daily living activities. The CMT is also responsible for monitoring patients and reporting any changes in their condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification or ability to obtain one required
• Must have graduated from a Medication Technician training program and have a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications.
• Document drug dosages and times of administration.
• Take vital signs.
• Assist in examinations and treatments.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitor patients to report changes in their conditions.
