About The Position

The Certified Medication Technician is responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role ensures compliance with medication protocols and participates in audits and performance improvement activities. The technician documents medication administration and patient observations accurately while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality standards. They assist in training new staff, attend team meetings, and support overall clinical operations. Additional duties include equipment handling, supply management, and floating to various patient care areas as needed. Candidate must have an active CMA1 license registered with the KY Board of Nursing. Candidate must have taken and passed a CMT/KMA course. There is a $2K bonus for full-time employment.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Must be certified as a Medication Technician in the state within which services are provided
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Must maintain their SRNA certification
  • Must have an active CMA1 license registered with the KY Board of Nursing
  • Must have taken and passed a CMT/KMA course

  • 1-year related experience in a medical environment preferred

Responsibilities
