Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Medication Technician is responsible for preparing and administering proper medications. The CMT is also responsible for performing direct resident care such as ADL, ambulation, transfers, feeding and activities. This role involves managing all assigned supplies and equipment on the unit and promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team, performing duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current licensure as a Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A) in the state of Missouri
- Certified Medication Technician (CMT) in the state of Missouri
Responsibilities
- Preparing and administering proper medications
- Performing direct resident care such as ADL, ambulation, transfers, feeding and activities
- Managing all assigned supplies and equipment on the unit
- Promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team
- Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values
