Requirements

  • Current Kansas Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in good standing.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Current CPR certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to physician orders and facility policies.
  • Document medication administration and resident care in electronic medical records.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to nursing staff.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and personal care.
  • Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights.
  • Maintain medication carts, medication rooms, and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Promote a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Support resident engagement and quality of life through compassionate interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, families, and other team members to provide outstanding resident care.
