About The Position

Brush Country Nursing and Rehabilitation in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Aide. The position involves administering prescribed medications to residents/patients, measuring and recording vital signs, observing patients for reactions or side effects, documenting medication administration accurately, maintaining medication carts and supplies, assisting residents with daily living activities if needed, reporting changes in patient condition to nurses or supervisors, following safety, infection control, and HIPAA procedures, and ensuring medications are stored properly. A PRN position is also available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program
• Current Medication Aide certification/license (requirements vary by state)
• CPR certification may be required
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration
