About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Full-time Certified Medication Aide (Medical) (CMA) to join their team at El Dorado Correctional Facility in El Dorado, Kansas. The CMA works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff. The role involves assisting nurses by administering medications according to instructions, documenting dosages and administration times, taking vital signs, assisting with examinations and treatments, and aiding patients with daily living activities. The CMA is also responsible for monitoring patients and reporting any changes in their condition.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification or ability to obtain one required
- Must have graduated from a Medication Aide training program and have a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional environment preferred
Responsibilities
