About The Position
Altercare of Navarre is seeking an experienced CNA | STNA with a desire to become a Certified Medication Aide. Altercare will support the employee in obtaining their Certified Medication Aide License through the Ohio Board of Nursing. The Certified Medication Aide will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse, administering prescription medication and performing other duties. This role requires adherence to all laws pertaining to medication administration by a certified medication aide, documentation in the medical record, and maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year experience as a CNA - STNA.
- Completed an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program.
- Active, unrestricted, Medication Aide Certification by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescription medication under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain full knowledge of duties, responsibilities, and accountability.
- Act in accordance with laws pertaining to medication administration by a certified medication aide.
- Document in the medical record.
- Maintain confidentiality.
