Requirements
- Current state certification as a Medication Aide (CMA or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication administration.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced care setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
- Accurately document medication administration, resident responses, and any changes in condition.
- Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
- Assist with daily living activities when needed, ensuring residents’ comfort and dignity.
- Maintain medication carts, storage areas, and records in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Build trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues to foster a positive care environment.
