About The Position

Join a compassionate and supportive Assisted Living community where dignity, respect, and quality of life are at the center of everything we do. We are currently seeking reliable and caring Certified Medication Aides to join our resident care team. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play an important role in supporting residents by ensuring medications are administered safely and accurately, while also providing compassionate daily support in a home-like environment.

Requirements

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or NYS-approved medication assistance credential
Completion of NYS-approved Assisted Living/Memory Care medication assistance training
High School Diploma or equivalent
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration and documentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care
Reliable, organized, and team-focused mindset
Previous background in Assisted Living or Memory Care
Passion for working with seniors

Responsibilities

Assist with self-administration of medications for residents who have been approved to self-administer with supervision
Accurately document all medications, refusals, and observations in MAR/eMAR systems
Observe residents for changes in condition, side effects, or concerns and report promptly to nursing staff
Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medications
Perform routine vital signs as required and report abnormalities
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care team members
Support a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all residents
