About The Position
Seeking a full-time medication aide position for a Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm shift. PRN (as needed) positions are also available. This role involves administering prescribed medications to residents/patients, measuring and recording vital signs, observing patients for reactions or side effects, documenting medication administration accurately, maintaining medication carts and supplies, assisting residents with daily living activities if needed, and reporting changes in patient condition to nurses or supervisors. Adherence to safety, infection control, and HIPAA procedures is essential, as is ensuring proper medication storage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program
- Current Medication Aide certification/license (requirements vary by state)
- CPR certification may be required
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration
