About The Position

Iris Memory Care of Nichols Hills is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for weekend work in a warm, close-knit memory care environment. This role involves providing hands-on, compassionate care to residents with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, assisting them with daily living activities, passing medications, supporting life enrichment programs, and maintaining a clean environment. The community is a single-building, age-in-place assisted living facility with 57 residents, offering a smaller team environment where staff can make a significant impact.

Requirements

• Active listing on the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry as a Certified Medication Aide and Long Term Care Aide
• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 18 years of age
• Genuine warmth, patience, and compassion for those living with memory loss
• Reliable work history
• Flexibility to pick up shifts across all schedules as needed
• Ability to meet continuing education and certification requirements for your position

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year of experience working with older adults preferred
• Experience in memory care or with dementia residents strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care, dining, and mobility
• Pass medications according to the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
• Support residents with life enrichment activities and social-recreational programming
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, comfortable, home-like environment
• Monitor and document vital signs and monthly weights
• Offer emotional and physical comfort and support to residents and families
• Uphold each resident's dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality at all times
• Assist with individual and group activities that enrich residents' daily lives
