The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) position is responsible for administering oral and topical medications to patients/residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with physician's orders and state and federal regulations. This role also involves performing routine daily tasks to maintain the health, comfort, and well-being of patients/residents. The CMA will ensure medication administration follows the 'five rights', monitor for reactions, manage PRN medications, and maintain the security and organization of medication storage areas. Additionally, the position may involve taking vital signs, dispensing and accounting for narcotics, making observation rounds, supervising nursing assistants, and attending facility meetings. The CMA is expected to uphold the company's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and enforce policies on abuse prevention, ensuring patient/resident safety.
