About The Position
Lamoni Specialty Care, a 43-bed long-term care skilled nursing community located in Lamoni, IA, is now hiring a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for evening shifts. This role is part of Care Initiatives, a network of over 40 skilled nursing communities across Iowa. The position offers a competitive hourly rate with a shift differential and is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives during their healthcare journey.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Valid certification as a Medication Aide. Medication Aide must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and passing medications.
- Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Provide health monitoring and conducting routine vital checks.
- Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
- Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.
