About The Position

Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center (SCHHC) is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to support their General Surgery program one week per month and serve as a float within their Primary Care Clinic the remainder of the time. Responsibilities include rooming patients, assisting providers, managing patient communications, coordinating referrals, and supporting daily clinic operations. This position is scheduled Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional 10-hour shifts as needed to meet operational demands. Candidates should be flexible, team-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification through a nationally recognized accredited program (AAMA, NHA, NCCT) is required.
Have and maintain Basic Life Support Provider (BLS).
Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) required.
Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Office and online software.
