About The Position

ArchPoint Pain, a growing Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain Management clinic, is seeking an exceptional, dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/NCMA) to join their team. This role involves both clinical operations and patient flow management, as well as administrative tasks and continuity of care. Requirements

  • Proven clinical experience in Pain Management / Pain Medicine or a closely related outpatient specialty.
  • Hands-on, practical experience navigating EMR systems (Athenahealth preferred).
  • Willingness to work as a team to provide stellar care to patients with significant pain levels.
  • Ability to commit to a long-term, full-time position.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Clean communication skills.
  • Team-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Medical Assistant credential (CMA, RMA, or NCMA).
  • Able to commute primarily to the main Huffmeister location, with flexibility to support the satellite clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, capture vital signs, and document History of Present Illness (HPI)/intake details.
  • Manage daily clinic schedule, monitor patient wait times, and optimize patient flow.
  • Verify eligibility and ensure Quality Measures (QM) are met for each patient visit.
  • Oversee patient urine collection (UA samples), ensure prompt delivery to the lab, and maintain restroom cleanliness.
  • Assist providers with specialized treatments (ESI, RFA, SCS Trials) as a Procedure Technician.
  • Prep patient exam rooms and stage Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
  • Coordinate and complete medication Prior Authorization (PA) requests.
  • Monitor, route, and resolve patient cases within Athenahealth messaging.
  • Call scheduled new patients to secure essential medical records.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, collect payments, input UA dipstick results, and conduct post-procedure follow-up calls.
