Provides support in the delivery of quality clinical care, assists the physician in maintaining registries, prepares for patient visits by performing chart preparation, manages patient flow, performs tests/procedures as ordered, administers medications as ordered by provider, anticipates the need for and completes all documentation necessary to ensure quality care, distributes patient education and discharge instructions, assists patients in obtaining additional services ordered by the physician, and documents all patient communication in the medical record. Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients and families during appointments/visits and telephone calls. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of patient care and communication. Complies with established infection control, OSHA safety standards and accrediting organization regulations. Demonstrates order completion and documentation for appropriate charge capture and risk reduction. Collaborates with provider and billing department to accurately code and capture charges. Maintains inventory par levels using standard products, AMG AOS standards. Understands revenue and expense management targets and is engaged in achieving same. Promotes a green environment by adhering to organizational guidelines for recycling and prudent utilization of resources. Utilizes organizational resources in a responsible/cost effective manner. Maintains knowledge of current standards of care. Participates in continuing education and other professional and growth opportunities. Completes annual competency review.
