About The Position
Alaska Behavioral Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their Medical Team in Fairbanks. The medical department is dedicated to helping clients improve their lives through a coordinated approach to care. Certified Medical Assistants work as members of the medical/nursing team to provide care to a mentally ill population.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CMA with certification in CPR and First Aid
- Comfortable with EMR usage
- Fast learner with computer programs
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and take their vitals, administer injections, collect health information, etc.
- Coordinate timely and efficient patient flow in the department
- Complete prior authorizations, laboratory requisitions, and other forms
- Obtain patient records, answer calls and relay information in a timely manner
