About The Position

The Monte Vista Clinic is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to provide quality health care to patients. This role involves working collaboratively with providers and other nursing staff. The ideal candidate is a multi-skilled individual who can work independently.

Requirements

Graduation within 12 months of hire from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
BLS required.
Excellent customer service skills

Nice To Haves

Prior medical reception and/or clinical experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and greeting patients.
Update and maintain patient files and medical records
Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules
Take vitals, explain treatment procedures, collect and prepare lab specimens
Authorize prescription refills and manage prescriptions with pharmacies
Sterilize medical equipment and maintain a clean working space
