About The Position
HV Pediatrics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time role in their pediatric office. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with children. The role involves both clinical and administrative duties. The office locations include HV Pediatrics Chippewa, with potential to work in other HVP locations (Chippewa/Hopewell/Center-Monaca) as needed for staffing. The work hours are regular office hours Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM, with scheduled rotations for Saturdays 8 AM-1 PM and evenings 10 AM-7 PM.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
- CPR Certification
- Computer experience
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
- Minimum of one year medical assisting experience
Responsibilities
- Collects vital signs and patient history
- Collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests
- Administers injections and medications as directed by provider
- Performs other clinical tasks
- Orders supplies
- Updates/maintains medical records
- Obtains referrals/authorizations
- Schedules appointments
