About The Position

Athens Orthopedic Clinic is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). The position will provide coverage Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and every Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm; however, some extended hours may be necessary as patient care warrants. The position will cover clinic in our Loganville Urgent Care. The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for age-appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned patients, ensuring that planned care is delivered safely, economically, and efficiently, adhering to AOC’s policies, procedures, values, and mission statement. Clinical staff are responsible for assessing patients' needs in compliance with established standards of care and practice, as well as all regulatory, accrediting, and legal requirements. Clinical staff are also responsible for all assigned personnel, equipment, and supplies, and for fostering teamwork among patients, families, and physicians.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant Program.
• Current and appropriate certification from the certification authority.
• Minimal of two (2) years’ experience in a clinical staff role.
• Current BLS certification required

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic care environment preferred.
