About The Position
Baptist Health is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join Baptist Primary Care, Internal and Family Medicine at our Southbank Plaza office located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Monday-Friday. Shift varies but ranges from 7:00AM-5:00PM. The ideal candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting the provider.
Requirements
- 2+ years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
