About The Position

Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife. Located off the beautiful Oregon Coast, Adventist Health Tillamook has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1950. We are comprised of a 25-bed critical access medical center, rural health and urgent care medical offices, home care services, and a vast scope of services located throughout Tillamook County and the surrounding areas. Requirements

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Required
  • All associates receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
  • Associates must acknowledge and understand the E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred
  • Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients.
  • Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
  • Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
  • Performs audiometry and vision testing.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
