About The Position

Sentara Martha Jefferson Family Medicine is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in Charlottesville, VA. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Hours may begin as early as 8 AM and end at 5 PM, with scheduled shifts falling within this range based on provider assignment. Certification is required at hire, and lab draw experience is highly preferred. The role involves performing patient care and administrative/clerical tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
• 1 year of clinical or administrative experience

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
• Lab draw experience highly preferred
• Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities
