About The Position

Provide clinical and administrative support in behavioral health and primary care settings. Assist with exams, administer medications, collect specimens, and maintain documentation. Operate under supervision and follow established protocols to ensure safe and effective client care. North Campus is a 24-hour facility, hiring for all position options; Full-time, Part-time, and PRN to work day, evening, and/or overnight shifts.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or two-year technical certificate
  • 1–3 years of experience in medical assisting or clinical support
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems
  • Possession of a valid Virginia driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with agency policy.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Experience in behavioral health or integrated care settings
  • Familiarity with medication protocols and chronic condition management
  • Training in trauma-informed care and patient engagement

Responsibilities

  • Take vital signs and monitor client responses to medications and treatments
  • Administer medications and document administration per agency protocols
  • Perform urine drug screenings and prepare specimens for lab processing
  • Assist with exams, injections as authorized by the prescriber and regulating authorities, and in-office treatments (e.g., nebulizer therapy)
  • Coordinate medical and wellness appointments with internal and external providers
  • Maintain clinical documentation in electronic health records and complete progress notes
  • Monitor inventory and ensure availability of medical supplies and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of clinic areas
  • Provide directions and support to clients during visits
  • Other duties as assigned
