About The Position
West Coast Wound and Skin Care is looking to hire a Medical Assistant to be out in the field! This role requires driving within the San Diego, CA area. The Field MA is responsible for administering ultrasound therapy to patients in their respective homes 5 days a week. Additional duties include materials management, scribing, performing chart checks, coordinating skin sweeps one day per week, and obtaining data/metrics to facilitate financial analysis for expansion and growth.
Requirements
- Valid MA Certification
- Excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Strong awareness of medical terminology
- Strong desire for patient care
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of clinical management/medical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound therapy on wound patients.
- Order medical supplies.
- Scribe for respective doctors.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Perform chart checks for evaluation of stalled wounds for existing patients.
- Coordinate skin sweep scheduling.
- Scribe for skin sweeps.
- Make Initial Assessment calls.
Benefits
- Guaranteed base pay of $810 per week
- Base is calculated at $27/patient visit for a minimum of 6 patients per day
- $27 per additional patient visit for any visits beyond the daily base
