About The Position

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. The department offers a close-knit work environment, potential bonus if metrics are met, and works with phenomenal providers. Texas Health Physicians Group includes more than 1,000 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality, patient-safe care at more than 240 offices located throughout the DFW Metroplex. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)
Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
BCLS upon hire (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as a Medical Assistant (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
May work in the front office as needed
May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
