Certified Medical Assistant
About The Position
At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Ahoskie, NC. This role involves performing administrative and clinical procedures for adults with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring medical conditions. The Certified Medical Assistant will serve as an active member of the treatment team, taking vitals, conducting assessments, scheduling appointments, updating medical records, performing injections, coordinating prescription refills, and assisting with services involving external providers.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant, CMA, RMA. Or, Phlebotomy certification or LPN
- Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
Nice To Haves
- Experience with mental health population preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative and clinical procedures for adults with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring medical conditions
