About The Position

Tri-Cities Community Health (TCCH) is seeking passionate and driven Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to join their Care Team at the Richland Primary and Pharmacy site. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), TCCH provides comprehensive primary care services to underserved populations in Pasco, Kennewick, Richland, and surrounding areas. CMAs play a vital role in patient care across various nursing areas, supporting medical and nursing teams, and ensuring safe and precise patient care. The role involves direct and non-direct patient care under the supervision of licensed personnel, maintaining up-to-date certifications, operating the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, and adhering to safety protocols. Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant license from the State of Washington required
  • Must have or obtain current CPR certification within three (3) months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the skills and judgment necessary to provide direct and non-direct care to patients under the direct supervision of licensed personnel
  • Maintain up-to-date certification and medical knowledge
  • Efficiently operate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Attend all required safety training programs and describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards
  • Follow the organization’s exposure control plans and bloodborne and airborne pathogens protocol
  • Upkeep departmental supplies and inventory
  • Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment
  • Work on a team toward surpassing departmental goals and objectives across multiple departments and facilities
  • Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned and authorized by RCW 18.360 and WAC 246-827
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned
