The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a member of the health care delivery team and is responsible and accountable to patients. The CMA performs delegated clinical duties within the supervising clinician’s scope of practice and consistent with the CMA’s education, training, and experience. Duties may include taking medical histories, assisting during patient procedures/examinations, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, venipuncture, performing basic in-house laboratory tests, taking vital signs, administering injections, using various pain scales to screen for pain, EKGs, and nebulizer treatments. This is a nonexempt, full-time position with a pay range of $19.14 - $24.88. The Certified Medical Assistant reports directly to the Medical Clinical Care Director.
