About The Position

This is a Certified Medical Assistant position in a fast-paced, high-volume internal medicine clinic. The role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process, conducting patient check-out, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls. Communication with patients regarding test results and care plans, ensuring patient safety and privacy, and potentially assisting in the front office are key aspects of this role. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The clinic is part of Texas Health Physicians Group, which comprises over 1,000 healthcare providers across more than 240 offices in the DFW Metroplex, emphasizing quality, patient-safe care and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)
Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
BCLS upon hire (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

Two years of CMA experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

Responsibilities
