Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
Current CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
A positive attitude and patient-first mindset

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with EHR systems preferred

Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and preparing them for exams and procedures
Recording vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately
Assisting providers with clinical procedures, including injections, EKGs, and specimen collection
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Scheduling appointments, managing phone calls and supporting patients with questions and follow-up care
Coordinating prescription refills and prior authorizations with pharmacies and insurance providers
Ensuring exam rooms are clean, organized, stocked, properly equipped and ready for patient care
Upholding patient confidentiality and following all healthcare compliance standards
