Ambulatory OBGYN clinic looking for CMA who is a great team player, patient centered and who loves working in Women's Health. Hours are currently 10- hour weekdays days, with flexible days off based on schedules. May occasionally float to other Departments at OBT. Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. Loyola Medicine Transport is based at Loyola University Medical Center and is part of a three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. The certified Medical Assistant Utilizes a set of skills consistent with the basic educational program, certification, and relevant work experience to deliver direct care to the patient in the ambulatory setting. Working under the direct supervision/licensure of the physician, the Medical Assistant is an integral member of the health care team and is responsible for coordinating the pre/intra/post aspects of the medical visit. This includes direct care, registration & scheduling, physician-patient communication, and other office-related tasks. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will administer medication and work directly with other health care professionals at the site, as well as ancillary departments and services to coordinate care. Direct Care: Provides care to the patient and support to the physician throughout the entire visit, from arrival at the reception desk, during the visit, and through the check-out process. This includes, but is not limited to, history taking, assisting with routine tasks and procedures, telephone messaging, scheduling, and visit follow-up orders. Works under the supervision of a registered professional nurse when additional skill, assessment, and expertise are needed, or in the absence of the physician.
