About The Position

Columbia River Mental Health Services (CRMHS) is a growing, not-for-profit provider of comprehensive behavioral health and recovery services in southwest Washington, with a history dating back to 1942 and 200 employees. Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Active, Washington state, Certified Medical Assistant license.
  • Current CPR card.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mental health or social services work environment.
  • Ability to pass background checks for Jails and School if assigned to an offsite location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including obtaining vital signs, obtaining and recording patient history, preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas, maintaining medication and immunization records, screening and following up on test results as directed by a health care practitioner, monitoring and reporting patient symptoms and side effects, administering intradermal, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, and collecting specimens for laboratory testing (blood, urine, saliva).
  • Check and return voice messages for the medical department and triage to appropriate staff when needed.
  • Coordinate care with relevant internal and external providers and informal supports.
  • Assist medical staff with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
  • Request relevant medical records and reports from outside providers involved in the patient’s care.
  • Complete all documentation and charting as required by law or agency contract.
  • Possess knowledge of client rights and ensure an atmosphere that allows for consumer privacy, dignity, and well-being in a safe secure environment.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
