About The Position

Functional Neurosurgery is a new service line at Ascension and with anything new, it requires lots of flexibility as we learn and grow together. Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures while maintaining sterile and organized treatment rooms. Streamline clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording medical histories in patient charts. Transcribe provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, ensuring all diagnoses and follow-up instructions are documented with high precision. Manage essential administrative duties, including medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management to ensure seamless clinic daily operations.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant specializing in Registered obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Certified Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
General Understanding of prior authorizations and surgery scheduling
