Urology Clinics of North Texas is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and APPs in delivering patient care and administrative support. This role involves managing clinic opening procedures, surgery scheduling, patient flow, answering calls, processing prescriptions, documenting patient information in EHR, preparing patients for exams, cleaning and stocking exam rooms, preparing specimens, administering injections, drawing blood, sterilizing instruments, performing catheterization, managing CLIA and OSHA requirements, maintaining medical supplies, processing prior authorizations and other necessary paperwork, and ensuring all patient charts are complete. The position requires a basic understanding of urology terminology, medications, procedures, and instruments, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail, knowledge of medical office procedures, and proficiency in specimen collection, vital signs, urinalysis, catheterization, and instrument sterilization. Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR/PM and Document Management Systems are also necessary.
