About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join their Baptist Heart Specialists office at Mandarin Landing in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position where the candidate will be responsible for both back office and front office tasks, including rooming patients, triaging calls, and handling referrals. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to support multiple departments within the office. Experience is strongly preferred.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
Nice To Haves
- Medical Specialty experience
- EKG experience
- Associate's degree
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
