About The Position

Weiser Memorial Hospital, rated as one of Idaho's best places to work, is looking to hire a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team at the Family Medical Center. Responsibilities include providing technical, clinical, and clerical support to providers and/or physicians, delivering patient care in a medical office setting, and ensuring care meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient needs. The role requires meeting the communication needs of patients and their families, demonstrating initiative and responsibility under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, LPN, and/or Physician. Maintaining regulatory requirements, nursing, and office policies, procedures, and standards is essential. The position also involves communicating with physicians and team members about the patient's clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Registered and/or Certified Medical Assistant through a nationally recognized program required.
  • Completion of venipuncture class.
  • Current BLS.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit(s) area(s) or assignment.
  • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
  • Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit(s) area(s) of assignment.
  • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles for service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical/clinical/clerical support to provider and/or physician.
  • Provide patient care in the medical office setting.
  • Provide care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.
  • Meet the communication needs of patient and family.
  • Provide care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, LPN and/or Physician.
  • Maintain regulatory requirements along with nursing and office policies, procedures and standards.
  • Communicate with physicians and team members about the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
