About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work in our Pediatrics Clinic. This role involves providing quality healthcare to patients, working collaboratively with providers and other nursing staff, and assisting with both clinical and clerical duties.
Requirements
- Graduation within 12 months of hire from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- BLS required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior medical reception and/or clinical experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and greeting patients.
- Update and maintain patient files and medical records
- Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules
- Take vitals, explain treatment procedures, collect and prepare lab specimens
- Authorize prescription refills and manage prescriptions with pharmacies
- Sterilize medical equipment and maintain a clean working space
