About The Position

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This role is full-time, working Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, with no weekends. The clinic offers a collaborative work environment and cross-training for career development and growth. Requirements

High School Diploma
Valid Certification as a Medical Assistant
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly - 90 days upon hire

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as a CMA
Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire
At least 6 months of Surgical Scheduling experience, Front Office experience
Knowledge of prior authorizations and referrals
Strong knowledge of Insurance Benefits
Bilingual - English/Spanish

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
May work in the front office as needed
May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
